A private chef in Tuscany comes to the villa you have rented, brings the produce, cooks in your kitchen, serves each course at your table and clears everything away afterwards. We put the quote together on request, once we know the menu, the number of guests, where the villa is and what service you need, with ingredients and wine listed as separate items. In summer, book one to two weeks ahead. We arrange chefs in Florence, Chianti, the Val d'Orcia, Forte dei Marmi and along the whole Versilia coast. We only send chefs whose food we have eaten ourselves: from a cook who puts a proper Tuscan supper on the table for six, to a fine-dining chef with a brigade for a gala evening for eighty guests. Send us the dates, the villa address, the number of guests and what you like to eat, and you get a menu, a quote and the chef's profile back, usually within a day.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a private chef in Tuscany cost?
Every evening is quoted on request, after a short brief: the menu, the number of guests, the distance to the villa and any waiting staff all change the figure, so we price each dinner individually. Ingredients and wine are always itemised separately in the quote, either included in it or billed at cost.
Do we have to buy the ingredients ourselves?
No. The chef shops at the market and brings everything along. The produce is either built into the quote or billed at cost afterwards, and we tell you which of the two applies before you confirm.
How far in advance should we book?
In summer, one to two weeks is usually enough for a single dinner. For August, Christmas, New Year and weddings allow three to four weeks or more, because the best chefs are taken early.
Can the chef work in a rented villa kitchen?
Yes, that is the normal case. We check the kitchen with the owner or the rental agency beforehand, and if something essential is missing, such as a second oven or fridge space, the chef brings it along.
What languages does the chef speak?
Chefs usually work in Italian and English. Our coordinator is alongside you in Russian, Italian, German or English, and for a longer stay we can find a chef who speaks your language.
Which areas do you cover?
Florence and the hills around it, Chianti, the Val d'Orcia, Lucca, Forte dei Marmi and the whole Versilia coast. For villas further out we add the chef's travel to the quote.
